Cheney: ‘Election Wasn’t Stolen’ — Trump ‘at War with the Constitution’
Breitbart ^ | 11 April | PAM KEY

Posted on 4/12/2021, 4:11:45 AM by RandFan

Representative Liz Cheney (R-WY) said Sunday on CBS’s “Face the Nation” that the 2020 presidential election was not “stolen” from former President Donald Trump.

Anchor Margaret Brennan said, “Unfortunately, last night the former president seemed to be talking in a proud way about the crowd size on January 6. He gave a speech at Mar-a-Lago. He was the keynote speaker at an RNC fundraiser. He talked about Vice President Pence not doing more to stop the election certification, according to reports in the Times and the Post. So he is the best messenger for the party?”

Cheney said, “The former president is using the same language he knows provoked violence on January 6. As a party, we need to be focused on the future. We need to be focused on embracing the Constitution, not embracing insurrection. I think it is very important for people to realize that a fundamental part of the Constitution, and of who we are as Americans, is the rule of law, the judicial process. The election wasn’t stolen. There was a judicial process in place. If you attack the judicial process and you attack the rule of law, you aren’t defending the Constitution. You’re at war with the Constitution. We have to embrace the Constitution and put forward positive solutions. We have to be the party of hope, of aspiration, of inspiration, the party that recognizes and understands that the taxes need to be low, the government needs to be limited in size, a strong national defense, though substantive things, not the party of insurrection.”

Goodbye Liz…

The Cheneys always speak of “war” as though they are experts on the topic. Why is it they have never fought in one? Her father had six draft deferments to keep out of Vietnam, for marriage and college yet was the instigator of the crazy war in Iraq.

I…can’t…even….

Is this the same “Free Republic” where every single poster gibbered and hooted about WMDs and getting Saddam and his best buddy OBL while they were playing poker in the royal palace? Where every single Freeper thought that Dick Cheney was a better President than Dubya?

Funny how all intelligence reports supporting Democrat talking points are 100% correct and gospel, while every intelligence report opposing them is “manipulated”,”cherry picked”, “falsified” and “Agenda driven”.
Good on ya Cheney.

Too bad the ticket couldn’t have been Cheney/Bush with Pres. Cheney keeping Bush visiting factories and attending funerals of foreign dignitaries.

Believe me Cheney, you were not alone in your disappointment.
Hear, hear. It is becoming more apparent that Bush DID distance himself from Cheney during the second term because Bush became more “squishy” and liberal.

IMO, Bush’s strength, which we saw in his first term, came from Cheney and, today, I have far more respect for Cheney than I do Bush 43. Cheney’s book should be an interesting read.

Yeah – And you all cheered for Liz Cheney when she ran for office, too.

Well, let’s go back to the future (after the jump, of course)

The best evidence that the election was stolen is how hard they work to deny it.

Time for one more – how about – “the gun agenda is in full force”?

Live Updates: At least 8 dead in shooting at FedEx facility in Indianapolis CBS News ^ | April 16, 2021 | Brian Dakss Posted on 4/16/2021, 5:25:21 AM by Bratch

Indianapolis police say at least eight people were killed and multiple others wounded at a FedEx facility on the city’s southwest side late Thursday. They say it appears the suspected gunman killed himself. He wasn’t included in the death toll of eight.

No news on the shooters identification? If he was white it would have been ‘leaked’ to the press within an hour. If he had been black the FBI and press would be trying to ‘change the subject’… so it looks like he could be an illegal or a Muslim.

Over 200 people were shot and killed in Indy last year.

I don’t recall that ever making the national news, do you…?

You understand how news works, right?

1 person shot in a drug deal is pretty common. 1 domestic violence event happens every day, in most large cities. Those are police blotter events—they make a newspaper.

Those events happen to people who are in “high risk” situations.

When someone walks into a place where 500 people go to work—and is not a high risk environment—and they start shooting the place up; that is news.

The way it’s written has become a trope. But the incident itself is front page news every time.

This bullshit that every death is newsworthy is simple anathema to the definition of news.

OK – not that anyone asked, but here’s my humble opinion :
My personal views?
First of all – I’m a gun owner.
.
I own a Glock G21 handgun, a single-shot .22 that
belonged to my Grandfather, and a .410 shotgun that was used
in my days as a ranch hand to dispatch armadillo, and
put rabbits, duck, and pheasant on the table.
.
I also trained with the M1 Garand and the original M16
jam-o-matic in my Allen Military Academy days.
I shot marksman with the 1911 – with both hands.
So let’s just disarm (see what I did there?)  the  “You want to take
away all our guns because you HATE THEM” trope right now.
.
I have as much use for a modified (full-auto and burst
settings disabled) assault rifle as I do for a
flamethrower or hand grenade. And unless you are in
the military, a police SWAT team, or are planning to kill a whole
shitload of innocent people, neither do you.
.
It’s a bit like someone with a Piper Cherokee saying
that people want to take away his plane, just because
you can’t buy a non-demilled A10 Warthog.
.
Ain’t the same thing, numbnuts.
.
Going on a trip to Big Bend this Sunday through Thursday, so there may or may not be a post next weekend/Monday.
There’s currently a 480 acre brush fire at the top of the Chisos mountains, so we’ll probably just stay at the lodge and maybe venture into Terlingua a few times.
.
Here’s some pics of Villa Terlingua, where we’re staying :
.
.
.
.
.
The desert mountain solitude will heal me.
.
Adios!

  1. My wife and I were in Terlingua the week before the big freeze. The beauty is hard to describe. So many good hikes in that area, in both parks. We have turned it into an annual pilgrimage.

    1. No hikes or river rafting for us – just cold beers and the sunrises and sunsets, with some naps in between. Barbara’s never been there – before she moved to Texas, she thought the whole state looked like that.

    1. I’m getting low on popcorn.
I went back and looked at the post 2016 election stuff in Freeperville. The Darnold was going to save them all. HUZZAH!!!

Apparently, nobody looked at his success/failure ratio previous to that.
