This isn’t anything to do with blogwhoring, certainly not my blog, but I was cruising around Archive.org last weekend and found the work ofGeeshie Wiley. Geeshie Wiley was a hardcore guitar player, genius arranger, and a hell of a singer who played some mean acoustic blues, recorded six sides in two sessions in 1930 and 1931, and then disappeared forever.
Geeshie Wiley was also a woman. (New Feminist Icon!)
