Sunday Morning Video: A Sinatra Doubleheader

Sinatra week continues here at First Draft with two, count em two, concert videos. First, Frank’s spectacular 1971 “farewell” show. He carefully selected 11 songs that told the story of his musical career and then sang the hell out of them:

Sinatra’s 1974 comeback concert, The Main Event, is good, but not quite as triumphant. The promoter put him in a boxing ring in the middle of Madison Square Garden, which interfered with the intimacy with both audience and orchestra that Frank preferred.
