Back in 2017 President Grievance banned transgender people from joining the military, although he did not expel transgender people who were currently serving. This week he banned all transgender people from the military, and for the most disgusting reasons:
Recently, however, the Armed Forces have been afflicted with radical gender ideology to appease activists unconcerned with the requirements of military service like physical and mental health, selflessness, and unit cohesion. Longstanding Department of Defense (DoD) policy (DoD Instruction (DoDI) 6130.03) provides that it is the policy of the DoD to ensure that service members are “[f]ree of medical conditions or physical defects that may reasonably be expected to require excessive time lost from duty for necessary treatment or hospitalization.” As a result, many mental and physical health conditions are incompatible with active duty, from conditions that require substantial medication or medical treatment to bipolar and related disorders, eating disorders, suicidality, and prior psychiatric hospitalization.
Consistent with the military mission and longstanding DoD policy, expressing a false “gender identity” divergent from an individual’s sex cannot satisfy the rigorous standards necessary for military service. Beyond the hormonal and surgical medical interventions involved, adoption of a gender identity inconsistent with an individual’s sex conflicts with a soldier’s commitment to an honorable, truthful, and disciplined lifestyle, even in one’s personal life. A man’s assertion that he is a woman, and his requirement that others honor this falsehood, is not consistent with the humility and selflessness required of a service member.
Transgender people make up .7% of active duty military members. Yes, less than 1%. Which makes cruelty like this even worse:
If transgender service members don't voluntarily agree to resign, they'll be forced by the Defense Department to repay the signing bonuses they received at enlistment. Not only will they be fired, they'll be punished with thousands of dollars in debt. All for attempting to serve their country.

Over on the national intelligence side, on Wednesday Putin’s BFF Tulsi Gabbard recently purged 100 transgender intelligence officers:
Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard says she has ordered the heads of U.S. spy agencies to fire more than 100 employees who are accused of using a government communications platform, which is maintained by the supersecret National Security Agency, to exchange highly explicit, sexually themed messages.

The chats on Intelink, which appear to include topics such as gender-affirming surgery and unconventional sexual practices, were first reported this month by a journalist and conservative activist, Christopher Rufo, who wrote in the City Journal that he and a colleague had obtained logs of the chats. While Intelink is operated by the NSA, the chats apparently involved personnel from multiple U.S. intelligence agencies.
Rufo said he obtained the logs from one current and one former NSA official, and posted what he said were examples on the social media site X.
Gabbard, in a Fox News interview Tuesday evening, said the employees used government platforms to engage in “horrific behavior.”
“I put out a directive today that they all will be terminated, and their security clearances will be revoked,” said Gabbard, who was sworn in on Feb. 12 to be Trump’s top intelligence adviser.
Oh, Christopher Rufo, you say? I wonder if that liar lied about the chats? Spoiler alert: he did:
The first set of screenshots appear to show several employees describing the positive impact of their vaginoplasty, which usually involves the removal of the testicles and penis and the creation of a vagina, labia and clitoris. One person explains one benefit is that going to the toilet no longer causes them to feel dysphoric.
The second series of messages that Rufo shared features advice about accessing laser hair removal treatments.
The third “lurid sex chat” is about pronoun usage, with one person saying: “Hi, it/its pronoun user here, while I understand we can make some people uncomfortable, keep in mind that the dehumanizing aspect either a) doesn’t apply or b) is a positive effect when we’re requesting it.”
The fourth features several members explaining their experiences of polyamory, otherwise known as ethical non-monogamy, and answering questions from another person who wanted to know more about it.
Nothing remotely explicit is mentioned in the polyamory explanation despite Rufo attempting to paint the discussion as some kind of salacious account of “sprawling sexual networks.”
I’m furious about the endless cruelty directed toward a tiny fraction of Americans who just want to live normal lives. I’m unhappy that the media either falsely portrays trans people as deviants–what reputable news organization still takes that asshole Rufo at his word after all the times he’s been shown to be lying?—or completely ignores these stories in the midst of navigating the fireshose of shit from Presidents Elon and Grievance.
And it’s not just an attack on trans people who work for the government, are in the military, or the ongoing attempt to ban trans athletes from competing in sports. President Grievance is also attacking trans people not in the US:
The State Department is reportedly ordering officials to deny visas to transgender athletes and potentially all trans people if their applications don’t match their sex at birth.
“If there is a discrepancy in either in the applicant’s documents or in electronic consular records, or if other evidence casts reasonable doubt on the applicant’s sex, you should refuse the case,” reads a Monday cable from Secretary of State Marco Rubio, obtained by reporter Erin Reed.
Violators found to be “misrepresenting their purpose of travel or sex” could be deemed permanently ineligible for future U.S. visas, according to the memo.
We have all got to do better and work to protect trans people.
