Wednesday Night Music: Heartbeat

Kerouac_ontheroad

In 1982 King Crimson released an elpee, Beat, which was essentially a tribute to Jack Kerouac and Neal Cassady ofOn The Road fame.Heartbeat is my favorite tune from that album. It features lyrics and lead vox by Adrian Belew who has one the greatest names in rock history. I’m not sure who or what he belew but I love his colorful moniker…

    Nice!
Speaking of Kerouac, I saw the display the NY museum did on him a few years back. He had his own form of “fantasy baseball” he played with a rubber dice eraser and score cards.
They also displayed the scroll he used to write “On the Road.” Very cool.
