OK, it might not be THE dumbest idea ever, but it’s right up there. Alan West as head of the Secret Service? You’ve GOT to be kidding. That’d be like hiring Bob Knight as a consultant on tact and common manners, George Zimmerman for minority outreach, or Dick Cheney for pretty much anything.
I saw this and they have GOT to be kidding, right? It’s basically just a parody site now, right?

Most unfortunately, they’re probably dead serious. The right wing in this country is just adamant that they get to run everything in perpetuity, even when they lose elections, and, since the right wing has gotten nuttier and nuttier decade by decade, so have their ideas, especially regarding creeps like Allen West.
But, it’s not just the right wing pushing this nonsense. Dems are doing a great job shooting all of us in the foot, too. Jane Harman recently piped up suggesting Ted Olsen–Ted Fucking Olsen, probably the premier Federalist Society insider and hatchet man–for Attorney General. Jane, don’t do us any fucking favors, okay?
