Good morning, everyone! My apologies, but due to weekend-spanning circumstances, this is going to be one of the shortest Obsessions ever.
However, it is a lulu.
Let’s just say that something happened last week to – shock the monkeys!

Well, the Trump-humpers that comprise the majority of Freeperville these days are bound to take this in an adult fashion, no?

To: jjottoheh heh The last two presidents won the Iowa caucuses to start their *SUCCESSFUL* campaigns for president. Not as relevant as this: the last two gop candidates to win the iowa cuscuses never became the gop nominee.

To: Red SteelTrump last night had the biggest townhall rally in Iowa ever.In my youth I went to several rallies for George McGovern with over 150,000 enthusiastic, screaming, shouting, roaring supporters in attendance.
If you are old enough to remember, do you recall how that all worked out for him?
Maybe not, so here it is: McGovern carried one state plus the District of Columbia.
Rally size and enthusiasm are the very worst, most unreliable predictors of success in the political world.
To: Marie; hawkaw
As a newly minted Trump supporter, I too share hawkaw’s concern that big rallies don’t always translate to ballot-box success. I was dismayed when seeing obama win after all those large energetic hopeful Romney rallies. Same thing with Palin’s rallies in 2008.
I think it’s good to
manage expectationsexpect a humiliating defeat .182 posted on 12/12/2015 5:55:45 PM by Vision Thing
To: editor-surveyorTrump will win New York. Too bad for Hillary. She might win Illinois where she is from, but she will not win New York.Does not matter that her campaign is headquartered in Brooklyn, does not matter if Chelsea moves to Brooklyn, Trump will still win New York. Trump needs to create a satellite office in Brooklyn just to mess with her.
Expect to see Trump on election night from Trump Tower in New York, New York, when they announce the next President of the United States.
As they say, if you can make it there, you will make it anywhere. It is up to you New York, New York!
Exciting times, Trump for the win.

Cruz easily wins the GOP primary, unless someone comes up with a video of him with a sheep or something.

To: Red SteelI have noticed that many of the Trump followers are rabid, however. They are impolite, crude, abusive, and often dishonest about policy matters. I hope that if Trump loses in Iowa, as I think he probably will, that their vitriol will be held in check. Right now, I’d have to say that Trump’s rabid followers are his greatest liability, and that if this worsens they could sink him.
To: John Valentine
I’ve been struck by the bizarrely hostile and intellectually childish behavior of a few anti-Trump (and allegedly pro-Cruz) rabid posters for quite a while now.
They’ve gone far beyond the usual partisan primary silliness here. They’re just plain idiots. Hurting Cruz and the forum.

It is solely the demented over the top Trump sycophants that have damn near wiped this forum out.Just look at their posts on this thread.
They obviously hate all patriotic, Godly men. Cruz is just their current focus.
