A few quick notes as I watch the vote.

The debate was inadvertently hilarious. It was cute to watch House GOPers pretend they care about policy.

Scanning the chamber, it’s obvious how many of his colleagues despise Matt Gaetz. He’s also a dreadful speaker.

Repeat after me: Matt Gaetz is a punk.

The pre-3 PM central MSNBC hosts were looking for any pretext to blame Democrats for this shit show. It’s the GOP’s mess, let them wallow in it.

Nancy Pelosi missed the vote. She’s in San Francisco doing something more important: Honoring her friend and ally Dianne Feinstein. 

Baton Rouge Congressman Garret Graves actually called KMac the greatest speaker in American history. I am not making this up. He is.

Roll call votes are boring. At least there won’t be 15 ballots this time.

This is what happens when Trumpism takes root on Capitol Hill. Matt Gaetz is Trump with better hair.

The final vote was 216 with Democrats and 8 members of the Gaetz gang voting to vacate. It’s the Republicans mess, let them marinate in it.

It’s all over but the shouting. The House Troll Caucus never stops shouting.
